£16.79Le Riche is the master of modern Cape Cabernet. A wine that over delivers on all fronts! This is the only red wine produced by Le Riche that is not 100% Cabernet. A reincarnation of Le Riche’s classic Cab Merlot blend, this is an exceptionally lovely, classically Bordelaise blend. Restrained but appealing on the nose with typical red fruit aromas of plum and cherries are balanced by a sensation of the finely ground graphite found in Left Bank Bordeaux. The palate is a masterpiece of blending – hugely appealing with juicy mouth-filling flavours of red berries, plums and smoky hints balanced with a fine, soft tannic structure and rounded finish. Finely structured and phenomenally fine, Christo Le Riche has more than stepped into his father’s shoes! -

Les Hautains Madiran Plaimont
£15.99This organic Madiran is a blend, dominated by the local Tannat variety, but also containing some Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. All three varieties are fermented separately, undergoing light pumping overs for gentle extractions. This is to obtain a balanced level of tannins for structure. The wine is aged in barrel for 12 months for light oxygen exposure. Rich on the nose with dark black fruits and spice, combined with a juicy body and powerful yet silky tannins. -

Lunaria Ruminat Primitivo Lunaria Terre di Chieti IGP
£15.49This is a biodynamic wine, which means the producers have followed biodynamic principles to work with environment and seasons to maximise the natural potential of the vines and grapes and create a wine that best expresses the natural character of the grapes. This Primitivo has a bright ruby red colour. On the nose, aromas of plums, carobs, cherries and violets leap from the glass. The palate is soft and smooth with notes of rich black cherries and blackcurrant fruits combined with notes of cinnamon spice and cloves supported by lovely soft tannins. Well balanced with a fresh acidity and a long, fruity finish.
