Ruby red in colour, with purplish-blue highlights. Fragrant fruit with prominent notes of dark cherries are echoed by fresher hints of pepper and aromatic herbs, typical of Corvina and its genetic cousin Corvinone, the historic varietals of this appellation. Decanter said โClassic cedar, black fruit and mint nose, palate of firm tannins, bell pepper and clean acidity. With its equal proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, Chateau de Parenchere Bordeaux Supรฉrieur Red is half-way between a Medoc and a Saint-Emilion. Merlot gives it its supple, fruity fleshiness; Cabernet-Sauvignon provides structure and additional tannic density. This traditional Parenchรจre blend is generally very fleshy, with a very deeply coloured robe. Characterized by a good balance between fruit and tannin, it displays distinct red fruit aromas with a long, sustained finish.
