1 x Pol Roger White Foil Brut Reserve Champagne – France
The definitive house-style, composed from 30 still base wines drawn from at least three vintages, and the three varieties of Champagne, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier blended in equal portions. The Pinot Noir comes from the villages of the Montagne de Reims and contributes body and character; the Chardonnay comes from Epernay itself and the Cote des Blancs and provides lightness and elegance; the Pinot Meunier comes from the Vallee de la Marne and provides youthfulness and vigour. The perfect aperitif champagne which is never released until it is at least three years old.

1 x Domaine Laurent Mouton Clos Jus Givry 1er Cru – France
Perhaps the most outstanding wine in Givry. Full of pure pinot noir black cherry fruit with spiciness derived from the oak. Drking well now but will hold. The perfect red with a simply roasted chicken.

1 x Famigla Pasqua Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG – Italy
An elegant, full-bodied deep ruby red wine, with clean and vibrant fragrances of currants, blackberries and sweet almonds on the nose, with notes of vanilla. Warm and rich, silky tannins and a long finish.

1 x Urbina Gran Reserva Especial Rioja – Spain
This wine comes from the best grapes from the Estate, all from vines over 20 years. Fermentation at 28 º C and macerated the last 28 days, followed by 24 months in oak and 48 months in bottle. Garnet-red, splendid maturity, complexity on the nose, the palate is seen in the harmonious and balanced oak and fruit tannins, elegant and velvety soft, and wonderful length.

1 x Charles Melton Nine Popes Barossa Valley – Australia
Deep bright crimson colour. A reserved but distinct provencal herb nose with just a little hint of green leaf. A little of the typical talcum powder perfume already starting to shine through. Lovely, soft tannins and mouthfeel.

1 x Bouchard Finlayson Hannibal – South Africa
A thought-provokingly unique blend – 47% Sangiovese; 15% Nebbiolo; 14% Pinot Noir; 11% Shiraz; 7% Mourvedre; 6% Barbera.
Aromatic leather, cured meat and violet notes frame flavours of red cherry, licorice and rooibos tea. Surprisingly taut and fine-grained, it displays polish and intense complexity. Hints of tabacco on thefinish, while fresh acidity keeps the balance.

1 x Burn Cottage Pinot Noir Central Otago – New Zealand
On the nose, bright red fruit aromas are coupled with savoury herbal notes and a hint of sweet spice. On the palate, the concentrated flavours are well balanced with silky, fine-grained tannins and crunchy acidity, bringing great finesse to this wine.

1 x Domaine des Echardieres La Long Bec Touraine-Chenonceaux – France
This appellation was formed a decade or so ago and makes a very good alternative to Sancerre and Pouilly Fume – in fact it’s better than a lot of those. Unoaked 100% Sauvignon Blanc and bursting with crisp but linear fruit.

1 x Les Heritiers Saint-Genys Blanc Santenay – France
Gentle oak and ripe lemon nose, with a hint of pithy white grapefruit. Not at all heavy, this is fresh and vital with a lovely long finish.

1 x Chardonnay Marchesi di Gresy Langhe – Italy
Ripe, honeyed style with intense hazelnut, nougat, caramel and butter on the nose. A generous silky textured mouth feel is nuanced and savoury with fine citrus and stone fruit characters and taut acidity. Layered and complex with subtle use of oak giving an elegant style with notable minerality. Perfectly balanced, with considerable length.

1 x Vigneti Del Vulture Pipoli Greco Fiano Basilicata IGT – Italy
In the Wine Merchant magazine’s top 100 wines of 2023. The judges said ” jasmine, lime peaches and honey. Sleek and sophisticated, a lovely balance and a wine to enjoy. A real gateway to the region. More please!”. Pale lemon in colour, with perfumes of tropical fruit and a touch of vegetal notes. Rich yet fresh with a lime zest character, which comes from the Greco fruit, balancing the richness.

1 x Bouchard Finlayson Blanc de Mer – South Africa
Delicate peach and floral flavours are in perfect harmony with citrus-infused waxy fullness. The wine flows easily from a bright and clean entry to the long, tangy finish. Invigorating acidity gives structure to well-rounded mid-palate. Great aperitif and ideal with Asian inspired seafood dishes.
