Le Riche is the master of modern Cape Cabernet. A wine that over delivers on all fronts! This is the only red wine produced by Le Riche that is not 100% Cabernet. A reincarnation of Le Riche’s classic Cab Merlot blend, this is an exceptionally lovely, classically Bordelaise blend. Restrained but appealing on the nose with typical red fruit aromas of plum and cherries are balanced by a sensation of the finely ground graphite found in Left Bank Bordeaux. Italy comes to South Africa! Made from a blend of barbera, cabernet sauvignon, sangiovese and nebbiolo, this full-bodied wine has pronounced red fruit on the nose with perfumed violets. The palate mirrors the initial aromas with added savoury flavours and a prominent herbal note on the finish. 2 x Bon Courage Estate Pepper Tree Shiraz
This full-bodied wine suggests ripe fruit reminiscent of spicy plums and ripe berry fruit. Pepper and vanilla flavours follow through onto the palate with the wine showing soft tannins after 12โ18 months in French oak.
