The 19 hectares of Chateau de Fonbel vineyard sit on the sandy gravel soils immediately below the slopes of Chateau Ausone and support predominently Merlot and some Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Drinking beautifully already though will hold for a while too. -

This traditional Parenchere blend is generally very fleshy, with a very deeply coloured robe. Characterized by a good balance between fruit and tannin, it displays distinct red fruit aromas with a long, sustained finish. -
